Delete your data
Tredanek app and website · updated 3 November 2026
Tredanek has no accounts, so there is no account to close. Almost everything the app stores is on your own phone, and you can delete it yourself at any time. This page explains how. It also covers the few records held elsewhere and how long they last. For the full picture, see the privacy policy.
- On your phone: delete rides in the app, or uninstall the app to delete everything.
- Purchase records at RevenueCat (only if you started a trial or bought Pro): email us and we'll delete them within 30 days.
- Short-lived logs and map caches: deleted automatically within 7 and 30 days. You don't need to do anything.
Data on your phone
Your rides, GPS routes, heart rate readings, bike data, ride maps, paired devices and settings are stored only in the app on your phone. We never receive them.
Delete a single ride
Open the ride from History, or from the summary shown when a ride finishes, then tap Delete Ride. The ride, its route, its charts and its map image are removed at once.
Delete everything
- iPhone: press and hold the Tredanek icon, tap Remove App, then Delete App. Don't choose “Offload App”, which keeps your data.
- Android: uninstall Tredanek. To delete the data but keep the app, go to Settings → Apps → Tredanek → Storage → Clear storage.
Deleting everything also resets the Android free trial record and forgets your paired motor and heart rate strap. A Pro purchase isn't lost: reinstall the app and use Restore purchases.
Phone backups
If iCloud or device backup (iPhone) or Google backup (Android) is switched on, older copies of the app's data may remain in those backups. They are held by Apple or Google under your account. Delete them in your phone's backup settings, or from your iCloud or Google account.
Stop collecting location or Bluetooth data
Switch off Record GPS route in the app's Settings, or remove the Location or Bluetooth permission in your phone's settings. The app keeps working without a route.
Data we can delete for you
If you started a free trial on iPhone, bought Pro, restored a purchase or redeemed a code, our purchase provider RevenueCat holds a record linked to a random app ID. The record contains your purchase history for Tredanek and basic device and app information. It doesn't contain your name, email address or payment details. If you never started a trial or bought anything, RevenueCat holds only that random ID and basic device information from when the app started, and nothing that links it to you.
How to ask
Email hello@tredanek.co.uk with the subject “Delete my Tredanek data”. Because there are no accounts, we need something to find your record. Please include one of these:
- App Store: the order ID from Apple's receipt email for the trial or Pro purchase, or from reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Google Play: the order number (it starts with GPA.) from Google's receipt email, or from your Google Play order history.
We'll confirm by email and delete the record within 30 days. We'll ask you for nothing else, and we delete your email once we've replied. We can only delete a record we can find. If you never bought anything, there's no order ID, and no record linked to you.
What deletion means for your purchase
Deleting the RevenueCat record does not cancel or refund Pro. Apple and Google keep your purchase under your store account, so Restore purchases still unlocks Pro afterwards. Restoring creates a new record. Purchase and payment records held by Apple or Google are covered by their own privacy policies. Contact them to delete those: privacy.apple.com or Google Account → Data & privacy.
Data that is deleted automatically
Some data is kept for a short time so our services work, then deleted without you needing to ask:
| Data | Why it's kept | Deleted |
|---|---|---|
| Map service request logs: IP address, time, and the map area requested for a ride | Fixing faults and stopping abuse of the map service | Within 7 days |
| Cached map images of a ride's area, at Cloudflare | So the same map isn't fetched twice. Not linked to you or your device | Within 30 days |
| Website request logs: IP address, time and page | Delivering and protecting the website | Within 7 days |
| Your deletion request email | To reply to you | Once we've replied |
TomTom, which supplies the map images, receives only the map area, zoom and size, with no IP address or identifier, so there's nothing there to link to you.
